After covering up the murder of a black teen and in the face of calls for resignation, Mayor Emanuel and Ald. Cappleman now have the nerve to further segregate Chicago. They want to fund black, brown and poor white displacement through the use of a $16 million TIF (Tax Increment Financing) handout that will go towards a luxury housing development.

The $16 million TIF will fund luxury apartments costing $2400 a month while being literally feet away from homeless encampments where Chicago's homeless are dying in the winter from a lack of housing.

Rather than housing people who are dying in need or adequately fund neighborhood parks, schools and teachers, Rahm and his aldermanic cronies continue to misuse TIF money on politically connected developers who donate to their campaigns and displace racially diverse communities.

Join us in protesting this corporate bailout before it goes in front of the city council and join us in continuing the push for Rahm's termination from office. We will begin a rally with Uptown's homeless at the development site on Montrose and Clarendon then proceed to march down Montrose through the neighborhood to Rahm's home nearby at 4228 N. Hermitage.
