THE OTHER SIDE OF AIDS is a controversial documentary that confronts many of the questions that remain unanswered after more than 20 years of research.
Through interviews with scientists, testimonials from HIV-positives and historic footage, the movie chronicles the HIV-AIDS debate from it's beginning in a 1984 press conference to the present regimen of "life-saving" drugs.
There is a Q&A session set up following the movie. Andrew Maniotis, an assistant professor of cell biology at UIC and Dr. Michelle Brannick who specializes in natural medicine are answering questions about the film. Rita Sand will be moderating.
It should be noted that the Chicago IMC collective had initially decided to sponsor the film only if there was co-sponsorship from CABN. Because CABN never proposed or accepted any agreement to cosponsor the film, the film is not sponsored by either CIMC or CABN.
