
From the newswire: "Several hundred people gathered at Catfish Corner on Chicago's West Side Thursday night to protest the police killing of Aaron Harrison, [who] was shot in the back [by Chicago police]. Multiple witnesses say police planted a drop gun on him."
Harrison, 18, was shot dead on Monday night, August 6. Rally attendees — including Reverend Al Sharpton, Reverend Paul Jakes, Jr. and Harrison's mother, Ms. Annie Johnson — called for an independent federal investigation into Harrison's death and the post-shooting campaign of police harassment. protest at a CPD board meeting is scheduled for this week.
