Occupy Macomb stepped off this weekend with a parade permit and friendly police escort - "Banks got bailed out, we got sold out". The initial march and rally drew about 50 people, 36 stayed on for the whole day.

"Honk if you are the 99%" seemed to work every time a surge of traffic passed the light at the Amtrak station

Shooting directly into the bright sun on Saturday afternoon, I got this message from Anonymous - Hungry? Eat a banker

In Macomb, Illinois this weekend another home grown movement has risen up in solidary with Occupy Wall Street. Organizers Kristen and Alexis easily got permits for a parade and rally that drew about 50 supporters on Saturday. About 3 dozen stayed until late in the afternoon, encouraging cars to honk in solidarity as they passed. There's also a short video on my Radio Galesburg page at Facebook
