News and Letters Committees invites you to hear participants from Occupy Chicago and participate in the discussion yourself. Help write the lead article for the next issue of News & Letters covering the occupations across the country and internationally, written by Occupiers in New York, Memphis, L.A. and Chicago.
The movement doesn’t just want to react to inadequate media coverage of the occupation. Help create our own coverage of the movement, including many voices of participants speaking for themselves and, in the process, learn about revolutionary journalism, unseparated from a philosophy of liberation.
Leading off the discussion will be two participants in Occupy Chicago: Redwood and Gerry Emmett, World in View columnist for News & Letters, and author of “Palestinian youth open new front in Arab Spring.”
