Clapper Jr. to serve as the Director of National Intelligence is
already drawing fire from a variety of quarters. Defense Secretary
Robert Gates was forced to defend Clapper on Sunday against charges
that he has failed to keep Congress sufficiently informed on
intelligence matters in his present position as Undersecretary of
Defense for Intelligence.

A more serious issue, however, may prove to be Clapper's support in
2003 for the idea that Iraqi WMD had been smuggled into Syria just
before the US invasion as part of an attempt to destroy evidence.

CNN) -- WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange said Friday that he was
disappointed by criticism from Secretary of Defense Robert Gates over
the release of about 76,000 pages of U.S. documents related to the war
in Afghanistan.

Gates said Thursday that the massive leak will have significant impact
on troops and allies, revealing techniques and procedures.

Assange rejected that assessment Friday, saying in a release that
Gates "has overseen the killings of thousands of children and adults"
in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Adm. Mike Mullen, chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff, also
criticized Assange and the person who gave him the documents.
WikiLeaks, Mullen said, was risking lives to make a political point.

"Mr. Assange can say whatever he likes about the greater good he
thinks he and his source are doing, but the truth is, they might
already have on their hands the blood of some young soldier or that of
an Afghan family," Mullen said Thursday at a Pentagon news conference.

Gates said he asked that the FBI help the Pentagon in its
investigation of who might have leaked the documents to Assange's
internet site.

An Army private suspected of leaking classified material, including
videos and other documents, has been transferred from Kuwait to a
Marine Corps brig in Quantico, Virginia.

Pfc. Bradley Manning, who served as an intelligence analyst in Iraq,
was charged in June with eight violations of the U.S. Criminal Code
and is the military's focus in the investigation into who gave
thousands of documents to WikiLeaks.

Manning, 22, will remain in confinement as the Army continues the
investigation to determine whether he should face the military
equivalent of a trial over the charges, according to an Army statement
Thursday.

Assange has refused to say where his whistle-blower website got about
91,000 United States documents about the war. About 76,000 of them
were posted on the site Sunday in what has been called the biggest
leak since the Pentagon Papers about the Vietnam War.

Assange's statement Friday was harshly critical of Gates, particularly
over deaths in Afghanistan.

"Secretary Gates could have used his time, as other nations have done,
to announce a broad inquiry into these killings," the statement said.
"He could have announced specific criminal investigations into the
deaths we have exposed. He could have announced a panel to hear the
heartfelt dissent of U.S. soldiers, who know this war from the ground.
He could have apologized to the Afghani people.

"But he did none of these things. He decided to treat these issues and
the countries affected by them with contempt. Instead of explaining
how he would address these issues, he decided to announce how he would
suppress them.

"This behavior is unacceptable. We will not be suppressed. We will
continue to expose abuses by this administration and others."

Gates: Europe still angry over Iraq invasion
Pentagon chief wants to clarify European 'confusion' over U.S. mission

MUNICH, Germany — Lingering anger in Europe over the U.S. invasion of
Iraq explains why some allies are reluctant to heed U.S. calls for
more combat troops in Afghanistan, Defense Secretary Robert Gates said
Friday. It was his first public acknowledgment of such a link to the
Iraq war.

Gates said he would attempt in a speech here Sunday at an
international security conference to decouple perceptions of the Iraq
war, in which NATO has no fighting role, from views of Afghanistan,
where NATO is in charge of the fighting but has fallen short on
commanders' requests for more troops.

On a flight to Munich from Vilnius, Lithuania, where he attended two
days of NATO talks dominated by Afghanistan, Gates associated Iraq
with what lay behind Europe's general skepticism about fighting in
Afghanistan.

"From our perspective, I worry that for many Europeans the missions in
Iraq and Afghanistan are confused," he told reporters traveling with
him, implicitly acknowledging a political cost of the Iraq invasion.

"I think they combine the two," he added. "Many of them I think have a
problem with our involvement in Iraq and project that to Afghanistan
and don't understand the very different — for them — very different
kind of threat" posed by al-Qaida in Afghanistan, as opposed to the
militant group in Iraq that goes by the same name and is thought to be
led by foreign terrorists linked to al-Qaida.

Germany, which is hosting the Munich conference and which has refused
Gates' explicit appeals to send combat forces to southern Afghanistan,
and France were among the most vocal opponents of the Iraq invasion
prior to the war. Britain has been the most supportive, and it has the
second-largest number of troops in Afghanistan.

Gates: 'Failure in Afghanistan' a European problem
NATO, through its International Security Assistance Force, is in
charge of the war, although the top commander is an American, Army
Gen. Daniel McNeill, and the United States is the biggest provider of
troops. Of the 42,000 total troops, about 14,000 are American, plus
the United States has another 13,000 operating separately in eastern
Afghanistan hunting terrorists and training Afghan forces.

Rep. Armey's measure would exempt airport-security firms from liability

Critics are lining up against an amendment to the landmark Homeland
Security bill that would grant immunity to airport screening firms
whose negligence may have contributed to the 9-11 attacks.
The amendment, introduced last summer by House Majority Leader Dick
Armey, R-Texas, "has nothing to do with homeland security … and is
nothing less than a special-interest gift to the airport screening
companies," said Rep. James Oberstar, D-Minn., ranking minority member
on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, in a July 25
letter to colleagues urging them to reject the proposal.

Specifically, the amendment "would eliminate the provision in the
Airport Security Act that insures that negligent screening companies
do not benefit from the statutory liability protections in the [Act]
for airlines," Oberstar wrote...........

If the final version of the Homeland Security bill, now in the Senate,
were to include that provision, Globe Aviation Services and Huntleigh
USA Corp., two firms responsible for providing security at Boston's
Logan International Airport – where 10 of the Sept. 11 hijackers
boarded two of four hijacked airliners armed with box cutters – could
not be found negligent and liable.

Also exempted under the amendment is security firm Argenbright,
responsible for security at Logan as well as Dulles International
Airport near Washington, D.C., and Newark Liberty International
Airport in New Jersey.

Airliners from Washington and Newark were hijacked and crashed into
the Pentagon and a field in western Pennsylvania, respectively.
Argenbright, which has an extensive history of security violations,
was fined nearly $1 million last year for hiring convicted felons,
among other breaches.

"Last year, when we passed the Aviation Security Act, we expressly
decided that private screening companies should not be relieved of
liability," said Oberstar. "There were good reasons for insisting that
these screening companies be fully responsible for any security
deficiencies that played a part in the Sept. 11 tragedies."

Worse, critics add, all three companies are foreign owned: Argenbright
is a division of Securicor PLC, of Surrey, England; Globe Aviation
Services is a unit of Securitas AB, based in Stockholm, Sweden;
Huntleigh USA Corp. is a unit of ICTS International NV in the
Netherlands.

Despite the Minnesota Democrat's warning, the House passed H.R. 5005,
the Homeland Security Act, on July 26......

When he discovered the Armey amendment, Brian Sullivan said he "was
furious." A retired Federal Aviation Administration special agent,
Sullivan, along with Steve Elson, another former FAA special agent and
Navy counterterrorism expert, exposed serious security flaws at Logan
just months before the Sept. 11 attacks – flaws that were featured in
a special televised report broadcast locally.

Despite those revelations, however, "little or no action was taken to
address the problem and, as a matter of fact, the airlines – aided and
abetted by their fawning sycophants at FAA Security in Boston –
actually took steps to thwart attempts to address the problem,"
Sullivan told WorldNetDaily.........

The White House has been silent about the amendment, but Sullivan says
Bush isn't his primary concern. Rather, he says, it's "the huge
federal bureaucracy … which [Bush] has yet to hold accountable." .........

"It seems scary to me that we would remove labor rights from federal
employees, while failing to hold management from the failed FAA Civil
Aviation Security, [Department of Transportation], FBI or CIA
apparatus accountable," he said. "Without accountability, we risk
subjecting federal employees to the leadership of some of the same
dolts responsible for the vulnerabilities of 9-11."....

In an Aug. 28 letter to all 100 senators, Gail Dunham, president of
the National Air Disaster Alliance/Foundation, said none of them
"should unwittingly cast a vote to protect foreign security companies
at the expense of injured and killed Americans."

Dunham urged senators to reject the amendment. "This amendment shocks
the senses of Americans," she said.

Mary Schiavo, an attorney with Baum, Hedlund, Aristei, Guilford and
Schaivo – with offices in Washington and Los Angeles – says one of the
worst offenders, Argenbright, has been reorganized "under new
identities and has no intention of departing the aviation security
arena."

"With immunity from financial responsibility and liability beyond
insurance coverage, and freedom to continue work in aviation security,
9-11 merely gave these negligent entities a raise for their
incompetence, a raise which the families of the dead may not be able
to touch," said Schiavo, whose firm is representing the families of 40
victims killed aboard the hijacked airliners. ....

The Israeli firm ICTS International.. and two of its subsidiaries are
at the crux of an international investigation in recent days, as
experts try to pinpoint the reasons for the security failure that
enabled Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab to board Northwest flight 253 and
attempt to set alight explosives hidden in his underwear.

A Haaretz investigation has learned that the security officers and
their supervisor should have suspected the passenger, even without
having early intelligence available to them.

At this time, ICTS and the Dutch security firm G4S are hurling
recriminations at each other, as are the authorities at Schiphol
Airport in Amsterdam, the Federal Aviation Authority and U.S.
intelligence officials.

The failure was a twin flop: An intelligence failure, which U.S.
President Barack Obama has already stated, in the poor handling of
information that arrived at the State Department and probably also the
CIA from both the father of the would-be bomber and the British
security service; and a failure within the security system, including
that of the Israeli firm ICTS.

The ICTS daughter company, I-SEC, has another daughter company -
called PI (Pro-Check International). The firms provide security
services to airports: consultation, instruction, training, inspection
and supervision.

Two decades ago, ICTS adopted the system used in Israel, namely of
profiling and assessing the degree to which a passenger is a potential
threat on the basis of a number indicators (including age, name,
origin and behavior during questioning). At the same time, a decade
ago, the company developed a technological system called APS (Advanced
Passenger Screening).

This system is based on a computerized algorithm, and is fed passenger
information from the airline company. The system was offered to the
Israel Airports Authority and the Shin Bet in the past, but rejected.
According to the company's Web site, most of the large airlines in the
United States use the system.

However - in real time - the system of ICTS failed. Even if U.S.
intelligence failed and the name of the Nigerian passenger was not
pinpointed as a suspect for the airline, he should have stirred the
suspicion of the security officers. His age, name, illogical travel
route, high-priced ticket purchased at the last minute, his boarding
without luggage (only a carry on) and many other signs should have
been sufficient to alert the security officers and warrant further
examination of the suspect.

However, the security supervisor representing I-SEC and PI allowed him
to get on the flight.

ICTS was established in 1982 by former members of the Shin Bet and El
Al security. Menachem Atzmon, who has been chairman of the board of
directors since 2004, holds the controlling shares in the firm.

The ICTS headquarters are in the Netherlands and the company is traded
in the New York Stock Exchange. Some senior managers are Israeli,
including the joint managing director Ran Langer.

Another important figure is Doron Zicher, general manager of I-SEC.
Zicher has been in charge of operations in the Netherlands for more
than two decades and has served as adviser to the Dutch Justice
Ministry, which is responsible for setting guidelines for airport
security.

The company prides itself on employing 1,300 persons and providing
security services to airports in 11 countries including France,
Britain, Spain, Hungary, Romania and Russia.

If US federal counterterrorism officials, aka the FBI, specifically requested that Mutallab be allowed to fly to Detroit from Amsterdam, it lends a lot more credence to the report by lawyer and eyewitness Kurt Haskell who has repeatedly claimed that Mutallab was escorted to the gate in Amsterdam by a “sharply dressed Indian-looking man”. If we accept Haskell’s statement (and at present there is no reason not to) then a reasonable explanation is that the accomplice was tasked with ensuring that Mutallab got on the plane and was a member of either the US intelligence services or the intelligence services of another US-friendly nation.

Facts about the existence of an ‘Israeli part of Schiphol’ were officially given by the Parliamentary Enquiry Commission; they were given in interrogation reports (of El Al and Shin Bet personnel) by the police, they were given by Mr. Jeroen Pelttenberg, El Al’s station-manager at Schiphol, and by some other people that were in some way or another confronted with the situation.
These guardians were not of El Al (Israeli national airline). They were members of Shin Bet, the Mossad-branch that looks after civil safety. For the young people that manned it, it was a way of performing their conscription duties........
Journalists say Dutch security officials have told them that the Netherlands has allowed Israel to make secret military air shipments through Schiphol since the 1950s. Former Dutch Defense minister Henk Vredeling, in an interview with Dutch TV NOS – and apparently caught unawares of the legal implications of admitting complicity in a war crime – proudly recounted secret weapons transports to Israel during the Yom Kippur war in 1973. These shipments apparently lie outside the Atlantic Alliance military treaties because the aircraft going to Israel are not refueled at NATO air bases but at the commercial airport of Schiphol.
The Mossad “state within a state” at the airport has taken full advantage of this loophole. “Schiphol has become a hub for secret weapons transfers because El Al has special status there. He stands to net a tidy profit through his security consultancy firm Chertoff Group, which along with other notable former Senators and TSA officials make up the “full-body scanner lobby” that represents the manufacturers cashing in on the sale of these insidious dehumanization devices.

It has been proposed that a possible motivation for the WTC attack was to destroy all the financial records contained inside. When nothing adds up, its time we starting looking at what we know. Our recent terrorist, now dubbed "the crotch bomber" is another dupe. The Mutallab case also resembles that of another attempted plane bombing, that of the hapless "shoe bomber" Richard Reid.

It has also been revealed that Mutallab is the son of Alhaji Umaru Mutallab, the former chairman of First Bank of Nigeria. According to This Day of Lagos, the elder Mutallab claims he reported the extremist views of his son to Nigerian security agencies, as well as to the U.S. embassy in Abuja, yet no attempt was made to prevent the radically-inclined Nigerian student to board the plane in Schiphol. The attempted plane bomber was schooled at the British International School in Lome, Togo and attended college in London and moved to Egypt and Dubai. The elder Mutallab is a frequent visitor to the United States and he is married to a Yemeni woman. ...
Madsen points out the well established family ties to Yemen thru his wife. He further points out how Israel managed to bring the terrorist son of Mutallab through multiple airport security obstacles with the same ease the United States shephered a known terrorist through a visa process. What we hadn't seen is how much this process had been tested during the "shoe bomber" episode.
For a number of years, passengers at Schiphol flying to the United States have been subjected to intense grilling by security personnel linked to an Israeli firm.

US bound passengers at Schiphol are asked a number of personal questions, including where they have stayed either in the Netherlands or in their country of origin. Hotel receipts are routinely requested by security personnel and the addresses of private temporary residences are recorded. Mutallab boarded a KLM flight in Lagos for Schiphol where he transited for his onward flight to Detroit on Northwest/Delta.

Six months prior to Reid's near shoe bombing of American Airlines flight 63 from Paris to Miami in December 2001, while memories of 9/11 were still fresh in everyone's mind, Reid attempted to board an El Al flight from Schiphol to Tel Aviv.

Reid was taken aside by El Al security and identified as a terrorist suspect. Reid paid for a one-way ticket with cash and would not reveal what he planned to do in Israel.

However, rather than turning Reid into Dutch security for further action, he was allowed to board the El Al flight by Israel's Shin Bet security so his movements during his five days in Israel could be monitored.

Six months later, Reid attempted to ignite his shoe on the flight from Paris to Miami. Israel had not informed British, American, or any other security agency of the concerns about Reid. Reid's aunt, Claudette Lewis who raised Reid in south London, was quoted as saying she believed her nephew had been "brainwashed."

Reid later said El Al failed to detect that he had explosives in his shoes on the flight to Tel Aviv, an amazing revelation considering the Israeli airline's tight security. .....

The links between El Al security and Mossad are extremely close with abundant cross-pollination of senior personnel back and forth.

The security company that allowed Reid to board American Airlines 63 at Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris was ICTS (International Consultants on Targeted Security) International. ICTS's senior management are all ex-Israeli security officials, many of whom for El Al security.

It was ICTS that largely developed the passenger "profiling" procedures used at Schiphol and other airports around the world through its subsidiary, ICTS Holland Products BV.

The May 2 article by Mireya Navarro, "Empathetic Judge in 9/11 Suits Seen by Some as Interfering", is an overly positive ("puff") piece written for a sympathetic newspaper (i.e. one which is involved in the 9-11 cover-up) yet Hellerstein "declined repeated requests for an interview" with the Times. Why would "the compassionate jurist" who has "shepherded" the 9-11 litigation process for years, and who is said to be "driven by a sense of social responsibility", refuse to be interviewed by the New York Times? Why is such an important judge avoiding the national media at such a critical point in the 9-11 saga - and U.S. history? .........
Judge Hellerstein's son, Joseph, works for a firm that represents and works with the company that owns one of the key defendants in the 9-11 tort litigation. This presents an obvious (and probably criminal) conflict of interest that cannot be ignored or allowed........
Both Alvin Hellerstein and his son Joseph worked for the well known Jewish law firm of Stroock, Stroock & Lavan before moving to the positions they now hold. President Bill Clinton appointed Alvin Hellerstein to the U.S. District Court in New York in 1998 and Joseph moved to Israel in 2001. They both know that the conflict of interest exists, which is why they don't want to be interviewed by the media. Stroock, Stroock & Lavan played a key role in the setting up of 9-11. They represented Silverstein Properties when Larry Silverstein acquired the lease for the World Trade Center in July 2001. They also represented Goldman Sachs, A.I.G., and Cerberus Capital Management, three of the key fraudulent companies involved in the trillion dollar bail-out of George W. Bush and Barack Obama.

Judge Hellerstein's close family connection to the Rothschild-funded Mossad company responsible for the terror attacks of 9-11 explains why he was chosen to handle the 9-11 tort litigation. He was chosen to manage the 9-11 litigation to protect the 9-11 deception - and the guilty - by blocking discovery and preventing a trial. When Judge Alvin K. Hellerstein closes the book on the 9-11 litigation having settled all the cases out of court without a trial, I suspect he will have to retire in Israel. Knowing very well how he and his Zionist cronies have obstructed justice for so many people, his fear will not let him live in peace among those he has wronged so grievously.
