3/15 Pilsen Banner Drop

There is a restaurant under construction on 18th Street near Halsted called “Hashbrowns” that is nothing but another disgusting example of gentrification. We cut their sign loose, the one proclaiming their profane existence, and redecorated it. Early in the morning today, while enjoying the nice weather, we found ourselves on the train tracks near 16th and Halsted, overlooking the yuppie death trap known as University Village. We hung the newly designed banner from a viaduct, and it read, “Those who gentrify have names and addresses”. Fuck the olympics and fuck gentrification. Solidarity with all targets of state repression (especially the RNC8, the MK3, and the AETA4), and all others resisting capitalism and domination.
