More pics of tonight's protest for Palestinian Freedom

This was one of the best protests I've been at in a while, especially when you consider that folks came out on one of the most bitterly cold nights of the year. People clearly took inspiration from the massive direct action of the people of Gaza, whose breaking down the wall and bursting over the border was aptly described by one speaker as "the biggest prison break in history."

Tens of thousands poured over the border to seek basic necessities denied them by the Israeli / Egyptian blockade, and for several days there was nothing the Egyptian authorities could do about it. When their political leaders failed them (as Fatah collaborated in the blockade), the Palestinian people once again demonstrated true leadership as they have in the intifadas.

Good lesson to remember in this Presidential election year.
