3/19: JOIN THE "PALESTINE SOLIDARITY" FEEDER MARCH

We call upon all Palestine solidarity activists to join this feeder march on March 19 from the Israeli Consulate (111 E. Wacker Drive) to Michigan and Oak Street.
On March 19, please plan on joining the “Palestine Solidarity” feeder march from the Israeli Consulate (on Wacker Drive just east of Michigan Avenue) to Oak and Michigan for the “No to War and Occupation! Bring the Troops HOME NOW!” March and Rally for Civil Liberties at Home and Self-Determination Abroad. We will begin gathering at 10:30 AM and will depart for Michigan and Oak no later than 11:15 AM. Please bring banners, flags and posters. This feeder march is sponsored by the Chicago chapters of the International Solidarity Movement and the Palestine Solidarity Group.

It is our intent to keep this feeder march as a "green" (nonarrestable) action by utilizing sidewalks to travel to Michigan and Oak. We cannot, however, guarantee the behavior of the
Chicago Police Department.

END THE U.S. OCCUPATION OF IRAQ & THE ISRAELI OCCUPATION OF PALESTINE!

Joe Carr at Palestine Solidarity Feeder March

Joe Carr will be joining us at the Israeli Consulate to perform during a brief rally before we depart for Michigan and Oak. Joe is a musician and perfomance artist that was with rachel Corrie on March 16, 2003, when she was murdered by Israeli Defense Forces while she attempted to prevent an illegal home demolition in Gaza.

He will also perform at the New World Resource Center on Wednesday, March 16 for a program to remember Rachel Corrie and on March 20 in Palatine at a program sponsored by Northwest Suburban SUSTAIN.

And will the feeder march also include homicide bombers?

Re: 3/19: JOIN THE "PALESTINE SOLIDARITY" FEEDER MARCH

"Yesterday at dawn Ro'i was murdered. The quiet of the spring morning blinded him, and he did not see those who sought his life hiding behind the furrow. Let us not today cast blame on the murderers. What can we say against their terrible hatred of us? For eight years now, they have sat in the refugee camps of Gaza, and have watched how, before their very eyes we have turned their land and villages, where they and their forefathers previously dwelled, into our home. It is not among the Arabs of Gaza, but in our own midst that we must seek Ro'i's blood. How did we shut our eyes and refuse to look squarely at our fate and see, in all its brutality, the fate of our generation? Can we forget that this group of youngsters sitting in Nahal-'Oz, carries the heavy gates of Gaza on their shoulders?"

The reasons for Palestinian militancy have been known since before it started (maybe read "The Iron Wall - We and the Arabs" from Jabotinsky, 1923). What puzzles me is why people complain about Palestinian terrorism when it is a likely reaction to Israeli policies. If you ain't willing to do the time, don't do the crime.

"when she was murdered by Israeli Defense Forces while she attempted to prevent an illegal home demolition in Gaza."

She fell in front of a slow moving, giant bulldozer.
Her death is cynically employed by the palestinian propganda mill.
Corrie wasn't murdered, she died of stupidity.
