The South Side Responds to War
South Siders organize an emergency response to war. More actions on the south side to come!
Citizens of the South Side organized an emergency response action in light of Presidents Evil's plans for war. The demonstration took place Tuesday March 18, 2003 from 6am to 9am (that's right 6am) on the corners of 63rd and Cicero.
The action entailed a constant march around the intersection of 63rd and Cicero. The small march of 15 was accompanied by the South Side drum brigade. Thousands of commuters who typically aren't exposed to anti-war sentiment where exposed to the growing anti-war movement during south side rush hour.
The south side punks are looking for more concerned citizens to join in in oppositions to war with Iraq. We plan on continuing anti-war actions on the south side. An action will be taking place March 19 from 6am to 9am at the same intersection. Please join us.
