Hey Everyone,

This is a shout out for solidarity with Marta Aguilera, who lost her mom yesterday. For those who don't know her, Marta is a student at UIC and an organizer for CYIC (Chicago Youth Initiating Change) as well as the CGCT (Chicago Grassroots Curriculum Taskforce). She's been involved for years with immigrant rights, anti-war, the environment and at Bib Pop. Her mom died suddenly yesterday, and as is usually the case, the cost for her funeral and burial will fall on Marta and her sister.

Some people may also know Marta as the bassist for the band Sangre de Abajo.
