With a growing economic crisis, the rich are waging an even larger scale offensive on the world's working poor to keep their system afloat. Many essential services are being eliminated, making it more difficult to obtain healthcare, public or private education, and own or keep a home. State legislatures, such as Wisconsin, Ohio and Indiana, are currently seeking to eliminate or weaken collective bargaining rights.

As a response to this offensive, workers from throughout the continent have propose a collaborative project towards integration and solidarity beyond national borders. This tour introduces the World Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU) to workers in the United States, seeking dialogue around common areas of interest. They will explain how the Bolivarian Alliance of Nuestra América (ALBA) has invested in healthcare, education, food security, cultural programs, while the United States cuts programs in these areas, yet increases its military spending. We hope workers in the US become familiar with this continental process to build coordinated actions in defense of our common interests.
