Uganda is on the northern border of Rwanda, which in 1994 saw the genocide of 800,000 people in which local media played a key role.
Despite its proto-fascist politics, AFTAH is hotwired into local Republican politics, with its leader, Peter LaBarbera, playing prominent roles in the U.S. Senate campaign of Alan Keyes and the multiple campaigns of Jim Oberweis.
