March with the SouthSiders for Peace in the Evergreen Park Independence Day Parade; we always get positive responses from parade watchers, we have chants, songs and lots of interaction with the crowds. We party afterwards. We are still awaiting info on our contingent number. When we get confirmation and details from Evergreen Park folks, we'll pass that on. You can park in the Mother McCauley parking lot on 99th just east of Pulaski. There will be some vehicles at the end of the parade route to shuttle people back. Homewood Independence Day Parade on Sat., July 3rd. Join the Generations for Peace; Show up at the parking lot between the Homewood Library and St. Joseph's church (Dixie Hwy. north of Ridge Rd.) around 10:30. Step-off is 11:30. Bring your friends! Theme is "Patriotism is...."
