Description: Simon Critchley is one of the most creative and most probing philosophers in the world today. His books include Very Little ... Almost Nothing: Death, Philosophy and Literature (1997), Continental Philosophy: A Very Short Introduction (2001), On Humour (2002), Things Merely Are: Philosophy in the Poetry of Wallace Stevens (2005), Infinitely Demanding: Ethics of Commitment, Politics of Resistance (2007), Laughing in a Foreign Language (2008) and The Book of Dead Philosophers (2009). Danny Postel will interview Critchley about his work, with a particular focus on his views regarding religion, Barack Obama, anarchism, and the future of radical politics.
