JOIN CITIZENS FOR GAY ACTION AND GAY LIBERATION IN CONFRONTING THE CATHOLIC CHURCH'S HOMOPHOBIA

It is the parishioners, the Catholic laity that bear the brunt of the blame for turning back gay marriage in California and Maine and defeating gay rights and fueling the fire of bigotry everywhere. It is the parishioners that vote and contribute their dollars to Catholic coffers and the religious right. It is through such grassroots groups as the Knights of Columbus that have amassed millions $ and political strength to block important pro-gay legislation.

The laity of the church should not be let off the hook. Silence is compliance.

It is time to call members of the Catholic Church to task and ruffle their feathers! Come join us in our chants! Bring a sign expressing your disgust at the anti-gay poison they are doling out to innocent gay youth. Their compliance with the homophobic doctrine of the Catholic Church and their silence is nothing less than sure, pure BIGOTRY! Let us not excuse them when they enter Holy Shame.
