About the WaterWorks project
Organic Gardening created the WaterWorks Project in 2007 to raise awareness about water conservation and to provide vital resources and education to community gardens nationwide. Now in its third year, the WaterWorks Project has provided grants to 28 gardens and communities to date.

Organic Gardening was pleased to partner with Growing Power on this year's project, providing Jackson Park Urban Farm with compost, trees, a tool shed, a pergola and a rainwater harvesting system to further enhance the functionality and sustainability of the garden space, and providing a space to serve as an outdoor classroom and gathering space for garden programming.
