FELA KULTI: Music is the Weapon Documentary

Originally broadcast 17/10/82 on Antenne 2 (France) and 7/7/84 on Channel 4 in England, this documentary captures FELA ANIKULAPO KUTI in the early 80's at his most incendiary and creatively fertile. An excellent one on one Interview / rant is the backbone here ( sitting around in his jocks smoking fat joints, of course ) but there's also plenty of footage of the Kalakuta Republic, The Shrine and Lagos street life.
