City Of Chicago Censors Mural Art
The City of Chicago took it upon itself to decide that a mural depicting Chicago Police surveillance cameras was a danger to the public, so they came onto private property and painted over it.
Bridgeport Ald. James Balcer decided that artist Gabriel Villa's mural that was commissioned by the owners of a building at 31st and Morgan was a "threat to society" -- so he had the city paint over it.
