Protest at the Egyptian Consulate General for realease of student journalist and activist TODAY

At about 8:00pm on Friday the 6th of February, journalist and activist Philip Rizk was abducted by Egyptian national security during a solidarity march to Qalubeyya (north of Cairo) as part of the "To Gaza" campaign. 14 other people were also detained, but everyone except for Philip was released.

*the actual consulates office is on the 19th floor. We seriously doubt we'll be able to get in, so we are keeping the gathering on the street*


Please bring a sign and remember to honor Philip's spirit to approach this event with non-violence in spoken word, written word and deed.

-Call for the immediate and unconditional release of Philip Rizk
-Call for the release of any information regarding Philip Rizk’s whereabouts to his lawyers and family
-Call for the end to harsh treatment and lack of due process to political detainees in Egypt.
