Author of "When Corporations Rule the World" and "The Great Turning," David Korten makes his case for a complete reconfiguration of Wall Street.

"We've had a failed economy. Environmentally, we are consuming more than the earth can support.

Many economists do not consider the environment but are caught in growth mythology.

Most of what Wall Street does has no legitimacy. Wall Street fuels financial bubbles and holds Main Street hostage to usurious interest rates. Wall Street drives the economy in destructive ways.

Much of what we consume is a palliative for alienated life without community.."
