Camp Hope Countdown to Change

January 1 - January 19
Grassroots Activists Offer A Congratulatory Sendoff
To The Obama Family and Request Assurance Of Support
For Progressive Change. For more info: www.Camphope2009.org
If you were energized by the election of President-elect Obama and now want to work for change, join CAMP HOPE on our kick off day January 1st in Hyde Park Chicago!

Whatever winter has in store, Camp Hope will begin a New Years Day kick off celebration gathering concerned citizens and grassroots activists at the intersection of Hyde Park Boulevard and South Drexel to congradulate President-elect Obama and to actively support progressive actions he promoted while campaigning.

The New Years Day Kick Off for Camp Hope begins a presence at Drexel Square Park every day from January 1-19, 2009 – tentatively from 9am to 7pm. Additionally, we are encouraging programs (forums, speakers, films, etc) during the evening hours in Hyde Park and throughout the Chicagoland area to highlight the important subjects which are the focus of the eight actions we are asking the President-Elect to take upon being sworn into office.

We need YOUR help to make sure that we have people on site during the entire presence, a daunting and perhaps audacious undertaking in Chicago in January. If you or your group can sign on to anchor a day and take responsibility to find volunteers to fill the day, that would be great. If you have 3 or 4 hours you can commit to, we welcome your participation.

To join camp hope or see a full schedule of events , as well as a complete list of the 8 asks for President-elect Obama, please refer to www.camphope2009.org

Please consider joining us for this important time in history!
