No More Roads, For A More Sustainable Future!
Stop I-69!
Thursday, October 23 / Noon
In front of the Hyatt Regency Hotel, 151 E. Wacker Dr.
Last minute demo against the national roadbuilders convention
(
www.artba.org/meetings_events/2008/Annual/index.html)
Meet up promptly at 11:45 am outside the Red Line Lake St. CTA station, to walk over together. We envision a relaxed and festive protest outside the hotel, where hundreds of powerful and wealthy roadbuilders will be conspiring to pave the whole continent. In particular, important sponsors and speakers (especially HNTB Corp.) at the convention are involved in pushing through the controversial and destructive I-69/NAFTA superhighway.
Join us to defend families and forests from unneeded roads, join us to protest gas-guzzling and climate change, join us to advocate for bicycles culture not car culture. Bring signs, noisemakers, and festive props. Please forward and post this message.
