The Chicago chapter of the International Solidarity Movement is happy to announce that My Name is Rachel Corrie will open in Chicago on Friday, September 12.
Rachel was our sister and comrade that will live in our hearts forever. On March 16, 2003, we lost one of our own but her life inspires all of us.
My Name is Rachel Corrie Premieres
This September, Purple Bench Productions brings My Name is Rachel Corrie to the Chicago stage. Edited by Alan Rickman (Harry Potter films, Sweeney Todd) and Katharine Viner (The Guardian), this moving play is a one-woman show adapted entirely from Rachel Corrie’s emails, letters and journal entries.
Purple Bench is pleased to announce that Craig Corrie, Rachel's father and co-founder of The Rachel Corrie Foundation, will join the company opening night, September 12. Mr. Corrie will join in our talk-back following the performance and will also be available to sign copies of the play of the latest release of Rachel's writings Let Me Stand Alone.
