ON THE SHOW THIS MONTH:
Send Lawyers, Guns, and Money - Five years have passed since the historic march for peace on Chicago's Lake Shore Drive and the class action lawsuit continues to drag on. The City’s response has been to counter sue the protesters for the cost of police work on the night of the mass arrest. In this segment, we'll look at recent developments in this struggle for civil rights. Includes new, never before seen police video. Co-produced by Sergio Barreto from Chicago Free Speech Zone (
chicagofreespeechzone.blogspot.com).
Surviving Climate Change Roundtable - A number of Chicago environmental and economic activists attended a recent roundtable in St. Louis about climate change. We learn more about this event and the issues that were discussed in this segment.
Critical Mass in Chiapas, Mexico - The monthly Critical Mass bike ride has become a regular presence in Chicago and in cities all over the world on behalf of cyclists' rights. In this segment, a Chicago filmmaker documents a Critical Mass that a group of citizens recently launched in Chiapas, Mexico.
Tell the Police the Truth - A music video by Usama Alshaibi, an Iraqi-American Filmmaker who lives in Chicago. Featuring the local band Mah Jong, this piece addresses the subject of torture and police brutality.

WHO WE ARE:
We are the Chicago Indymedia Video Collective. We operate along the same lines as Indymedia, fostering the same ideals and processes. We are a
collective of media producers, activists, videographers and concerned citizens offering your alternative to mainstream corporate coverage of local and international events, movements and expression.
In the summer of 2003 the idea of an independent television show, free from corporate bias and
serving the needs of the community, was conceived. Chicago Independent Television is the result of that movement.
Our mission is to provide YOUR CORPORATE NEWS ALTERNATIVE.
