This past Saturday, Bash Back Chicago turned out around 30-40 participants in its contingent at the DMC, including the lovely radical cheerleaders. We were soo excited to be in Pilsen for the march this year and the organizers did a kickass job of turning out 1000+ marchers to Pilsen. Bash Back's contingent carried a loud and fabulous neon green and pink banner that read BASH BACK AGAINST GENTRIFICATION!, in solidarity with those community members who continue to fight the gentrification of Pilsen by any means necessary. We had a majorly fun time marching and watching all the awesome performers and even picking up some really great new chants like "Queers need more than fuckin' ENDA, legal sex work's our agenda" and "HRC you're time is near, fake inclusion won't work here!" Thanks again to all the awesome march organizers and marchers for a great time!
