The Chicago Chapters of Campus Antiwar Network are planning on doing a counter-recruitment rally and leafleting on Saturday, July 5th, at the Taste of Chicago. In light of the recent passing of $165 billion in war funding, and refusal of any politician to offer a complete withdrawal of troops from Iraq and Afghanistan, it is apparent that these unjust wars will continue. It's important to recognize that this could not happen without soldiers signing up, so we've decided to respond to this in our community. We're bringing banners, signs, and pamphlets to the tast on Saturday, where they typically have a gargantuan recruiting station set up. Meet us at 2:30pm on the west side of Buckingham Fountain.
