New World Resource Center Temporary Closing

Chicago’s New World Resource Center retail and meeting center location at 1300 N Western Avenue in Chicago is temporarily closing as of June 30.

The Chicago Area Events Calendar, the weekly calendar sponsored by NWRC, will continue to be published.

NWRC is seeking a new location for the book shop and meeting center, and will re-open soon.

New World Resource Center is a not-for-profit community-owned bookstore and meeting center. It is Chicago’s oldest independent left and labor book shop and meeting center. Founded in 1972, NWRC is owned and operated by an all-volunteer collective.
