On May 16 the DePaul Conservative Alliance has invited Minute Man Foudner Chris Simcox to speak at DePaul University. The DCA created a flyer to promote this event that says "PROHIBIDO" and has a silhouette image of a family presumably running across the southern border of the US. Not only is this image full of racist and hateful imagery, it is meant to send a message to the immigrant community telling them that they are not wanted and don't belong here. This event, as their past events including the affirmative action bake sale, talk on "diversity" featuring The Ultimate Warrior, and the more recent talk on why women should get back in the kitchen by Phyllis Schlafly, is sure to be another attempt to spread assaultive speech on targeted and individual groups of people.

The DCA's flyer for this event, which I must say is eye catching and well designed, needed a few changes. I made the following site to distribute a flyer I mocked up in photoshop. Please print and distribute as many as you can before Monday. I've also placed a map on the site directing people to where
the speech is (it has moved to 2400 N. Sheffield and is now only open to DePaul Students).

Cortelyou Commons. Their main speaker will be the cofounder of the
notorious anti immigrant group the Minute Man Project, Mr. Cris Simcox.
> In October 2002, Cris Simcox issued a public call to arms, inviting
readers of his newspaper, the Tombstone Tumbleweed, to join a
"Citizens Border Patrol Militia" whose function, Simcox said, would be
to "shame the government into doing its job" of controlling the United
State of America's border with Mexico.
> Vicente Rodriguez of the Angeles Del Decierto (Angels of the Desert)
stated, "Simcox is such a bad person that he is not even able to see
his own children. The Minute Men set up their armed defense corps. And
the migrants must travel then through more dangerous areas...the
consequences many more migrants die. Simcox is directly responsible
for these deaths. We consider Cris Simcox armed & dangerous to all

presence of such a racist person. The community is up hauled at the
fact that De Paul University who has a base of Vincentian Principals
and is a catholic university would allow a modern day Nazi to speak on
