Scientist at NOAA Lab in Boulder more worried now than in 2000
Pieter Tans, climate scientist at the NOAA Carbon monitoring laboratory in Boulder, Colorado said he's more worried now about global warming than he was in 2000.

Dr. Tans, who was interviewed on The Weather Channel and public media in 2000, said recently that he's more worried now about global warming consequences because of the rapid thaw over the last few years in the Arctic. He also said (Oct 4, 2007 interview with former NOAA National Weather Service hydrologist, Pat Neuman, that models in 2000 had indicated more severe droughts in the sub-tropical latitudes, which seems to be in progress now.
