Dear friends,
On November 3, 2006, with the death count of Iraqi civilians -- fathers and mothers, children and lovers -- soaring into the hundreds of thousands, one American offered his life in protest of the insanity. That man was Malachi Ritscher.
Today, a vast and growing number of us are concerned about the effects of our government's actions on our world and our future. We want to do something to stop it, but we need specifics...Where do I go? What exactly can one person do in stopping a war?
I can tell you.
On Saturday, November 3, you can stand with others in tribute to Malachi Ritscher. On Saturday, on the anniversary of his courageous act, We will bring Malachi's message to motorists with signs - "Lead US to Peace," "I heard you, Malachi." We'll cover every exit of the I-90. We'll reach out to thousands of fellow Americans, but only with your help -- with your legs, and your arms.
One year ago, a man took the most powerful action he knew of to help end this war. He put his money where his mouth was, and next Saturday a group of us is going to do the same. At such grave times in history, it is the actions of citizens like you and me that determine our future. Please join us.

At 1 p.m., people will gather at Brando's, get a sign, and sign up for an exit ramp corner with a partner. At 1:30, we'll walk to the nearby Federal Plaza, where we will read Malachi's mission statement and say an invocation, after which demonstrators will disperse to their sites two-by-two via the blue line. We will stand silently, holding signs in view of motorists until 5 p.m., and can go home directly from there, or meet up with other demonstrators afterward for drinks/food.
