Cross-dressers Try to Befriend Recruiters, Leave Military Men in a Tizzy
A bloc of crossdressing radicals attempted to coax downtown Army recruiters into letting them sign on the dotted line today at the University Recruiting Station at Harrison and State. Oddly, the recruiters were flummoxed, and after some discussion handed out brochures and encouraged the eager potential recruits to study it carefully -- well away from their office. The fetching group also flyered fellow students and passersby about the downside to the military -- its homophobia, its murderous agenda, and its complete lack of fashion elan.
Today's goal? To pull together a bloc of Transvestites, Clowns, and anything else that boils the blood of army recruiters to attempt to join the U.S. Army. The action was convened to reveal the misogynistic and hateful ideals that the military upholds, and to build for an upcoming antiwar student/youth protest scheduled for October 11.
