Agenda
1) DuPage County activists arrested and prosecuted for anti-war protest give an update on their case

On May 6, Chicago-area anti-war activists Jeff Zurawski and Sarah Hartfield rode their bikes to a pedestrian bridge on the I-355 tollway near Glen Ellyn. They unfurled a banner that read "Impeach Bush and Cheney—Liars." They also displayed an American flag upside-down.

Two weeks after this incident, the DuPage County Sheriff’s office filed criminal charges against the activists. Police arrested Zurawski at his home. He spent seven hours in jail. Jeff and Sarah were charged with reckless conduct and unauthorized display of a sign in view of a highway. Almost three months later the County is still pursuing the false charges against the two activists. It is clear the county is prosecuting Sarah and Jeff because of their anti-war politics. Join us on August 9 to find out how you can get involved!
