the convening organizations (turath, chicago commission on human relations arab advisory council, arab american action network [AAAN]) for the first ever arab fest in chicago have been doing incredible work to make this event successful, and one that we can replicate in the future.

the barometer for success will be your participation for all four days, but especially on saturday, june 30th, which is billed as "family day." bring your entire family, all your friends, and everyone else to experience hours of beautiful music, poetry, and performance from some of the most talented arab artists in chicagoland; as well as a full day's worth of children's and adult activities.

there will also be great arab food and merchandise available from the entire arab world. it is essential that we have a great turnout from our community, and that we support the local organizations and small businesses that have rented booths in the plaza--so that they will continue to support our community and all its events and organizations in the future.
