Resistance to U.S. dominance in Latin America is gathering strength. On President Bush's recent trip to Latin America he was greeted by a militant wave of street protests. On March 9, as Bush was visiting Uruguay, Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez led a demonstration of over 40,000 right across the river in Argentina. Chavez said, "This event was organized to say 'no' to the presence of the imperial boss in these heroic lands of our America."
