Your financial support is vital for Revolution Books to survive and grow. It's a time of endless and escalating war, of maddening assault on science and critical thinking. People are making choices about what they believe in and what kind of world they are going to strive - or settle – for. We need intellectual ferment, writings that fire one's imagination and introduce readers to new worlds, revolutionary theory enabling people to get underneath he blizzard of events and also envision the outlines of a new world straining against the fetters of the old. We need the unfettered search for truth and for people to get a scientific foundation to go at the world. And, we need spaces where this comes together and people grapple over the burning issues and world historic questions. This has everything to do with both acting today in a way to make a real difference, as well as going for an all-the-way liberating society.
At the core of Revolution books is the body of work of Bob Avakian, Chairman of the Revolutionary Communist Party. His re-envisioning of communism, his analysis of the heavy challenges that people face today, and his program for how to deal with this are unique. He has taken Marxism to a new place, and his practice of Marxism is one that grows and thrives in contact with other intellectual discourses. This is an approach this store works to embody, and we need growing numbers of people working with us on this in different ways.
