NOAA's NCRFC disregards climate change in Spring Hydrologic Outlooks for Chicago
With climate change, floods have been occurring earlier in the year from more intense rainfall, warmer temperature and more humid conditions.
I no longer work for NOAA because I spoke out about climate change and the need to consider it in hydrologic modeling for floods and low water predictions for the Upper Midwest.
My career in hydrologic modeling and flood prediction was cut short by NOAA National Weather Service (NWS) supervisors on July 15, 2005.
Earlier this week, NOAA's North Central River Forecast Center (NCRFC) issued it's Spring Hydrologic Outlook - see Newsvine link below.
NOAA NWS NCRFC disregards climate change in their Spring Hydrologic Outlooks and hyrologic modeling for flood and low water prediction in the Midwest.
