On January 27th, meet at Dupont Circle, 11 AM to participate in an alternative march to the UFPJ rally and march...for those of us who want the anti-war movement to demand more than just 'pressuring Congress'. The UFPJ style of protest, which renders protest impotent (rallies, speeches, lobbying, permits, and self-appointed protest marshalls to ensure that everybody behaves), does not correspond to the urgency of our times, especially in the wake of Bush's escalation of the war in Iraq. It's about time we build an energized and combative anti-war movement.
