The American Friends Service Committee and the Episcopal Peace Fellowship are calling for an emergency vigil for 5:00 PM, Jan. 1, 2007 - New Years Day. Will repost AFSC's final Peace Alert. when it is issued, but vigil details are below.

Hundreds of thousands of Iraqis have died and continue to die. Please join us to mark the grim milestone of the 3000th death, call for an end to the war and stand for peace.
Where: St James Cathedral, 65 E. Huron (between Rush and Wabash)
When: 5PM on New Year's Day.
What: We intend to light 3000 candles, so volunteers are very welcome.
