Demonstrate in solidarity with the people of Gaza!

Join together to tell Congress to suspend US aid to Israel until it stops the siege of Gaza. Demonstrations are taking place in more than 70 cities around the world - in the Middle East, in Europe, in Australia, and throughout North America.�

Since June 2006, the Israeli military has killed nearly 400 Palestinians in Gaza.� At least 75 of these were children.� On November 19, Israeli missiles killed 19 Palestinian civilians while they slept in their beds.� Israel says it was an accident.� But when you bomb a civilian area, casualties are not an accident.�They are inevitable.

While a cease-fire has just been called, the siege of Gaza that is causing a dire humanitarian crisis there continues unabated.� It is not a natural disaster, but a man-made one. And we can all help stop it.

Hunger, Poverty, Lack of Electricity, Water and Medical Care

The United States provides a great deal of the weaponry and funding for the Israeli military. This violates US law that prohibits the sale or supply of arms to human rights violators or countries that use them for anything other than defense.

Israel claims to be trying to stop the Qassam rocket fire coming from Gaza. Although most of these crude rockets do no damage, they do cause fear, and two Israeli adults have been killed by Qassams since the siege of Gaza began.� But Israel's own leaders have repeatedly admitted that their military actions are ineffective as a means to stop the rocket fire, and many targets are unrelated to the rockets.
A ceasefire is just a start.

JOIN US ON SATURDAY AS PART OF THE INTERNATIONAL DAY OF ACTION TO STOP THE SIEGE OF GAZA.

We will be holding signs, passing out literature, including postcards to send to our congresspeople. We will also be reading the names of the dead.� (anyone have a drum or gong?)
