WHPK RADIO PRESENTS TWO-HOUR PRIME-TIME ELECTION-NIGHT POLITICAL ROUNDTABLE

WHPK Radio (88.5 FM, the Pride of the South Side) will broadcast a two-hour prime-time election night political roundtable, on Tuesday, from 7pm to 9pm Chicago time.

The event, entitled "November Decision 2006", will feature breaking news reports and election returns from the 2006 midterm elections. Members of Chicago's journalism and political communities will comment about the developments, and offer their insight about the upcoming 2007 Chicago mayoral and aldermanic elections.

Confirmed participants include:

* TJ Crawford, organizer with the National Hip-Hop Political Convention

* Ben Joravsky, journalist with the Chicago Reader

* David Moberg, senior editor with In These Times magazine

* Beauty Turner, journalist with Chicago's Residents' Journal

* Bill Dock Walls, longtime political activist and independent mayoral candidate for the 2007 Chicago mayoral race

The roundtable will be co-hosted by two of WHPK's public affairs radio show hosts: Mitchell Szczepanczyk, the host of "The Ministry of Truth", and Mario, the host of "News from the Service Entrance". Audio of the roundtable will be available online after the event via WHPK's website.
