The Illinois Ballot Integrity Project, a non-partisan civic organization, believes the integrity of the upcoming election is in jeopardy. The widespread use of electronic voting machines introduces nontransparent vote counting which can only be verified by gathering local totals. Additionally, faulty equipment and the lack of properly trained election officials have led to the 4 hour lines, and the denial to some of the right to vote. We must be vigilant in our monitoring of all irregularities witnessed during this election. The need for poll watchers has never been greater.

We are also working with the national Election Defense Alliance to compile reports of irregularities and to gather precinct level information to serve as an important citizen audit. Additionally, information reported will be forwarded to other national Election Integrity groups. Illinois Ballot Integrity Project has been sounding an alarm over the unbelievable flaws in the new electronic voting machines that had been foisted on the American public by the Help America Vote Act. It matters not a jot what sort of voting equipment is used in your race. Assume all voting equipment and tabulation systems can be compromised.

If you will already be serving as a poll watcher, we ask that you take part in this important safeguard. If you would like to be poll watcher, we are offering non-partisan training on Monday Oct 30 and will help place you with the candidate, race or party of your choice.

WHAT WE NEED...
Poll watchers to monitor and report on the closely contested races which are most likely subject to vote fraud, vote suppression and other irregularities.

FINALLY:
Participate by submitting a report on your experience at the polls and a copy of the precinct poll tape.
