It's hard to say exactly what Ballistic Helmet is. But roughly speaking, Ballistic Helmet is a collection of people who have come together in search of a non-corporate perspective on our fellow peoples of the world. We are dissatisfied with the level of dissent that is tolerated in our country, the United States. We are dissatisfied with the transparency and openess of the operations of our government. We are dissatisfied with the appeals to the hollow notion of democracy as it exists in the U.S., as we oppress and destroy our neighbors.

Ballistic Helmet is born out of this dissatisfaction. When our government and media seek to silence dissent, we seek to encourage debate. When they marginalize the voices of peace and justice, we amplify them. And when they speak of democracy, we engage in it.

The Ballistic Helmet zine is a not-so-periodic periodical printed by the members of BH.
