Armed Communist Resistance in Lebanon; US Democrats misbehave

Need Arabic translators! This is a UG Blog exclusive. Check out the link for details about the communist partisans in Lebanon.
More news about the resurrection of Jammoul, a Lebanese Communist Party resistance group, in its battles against Israeli aggression.

A sample from the blog:

Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki spoke in front of U.S. Congress today, after some Senators, mostly Democrats, tried to prevent him from being able to do so. Several signed a letter to Congressional leaders yesterday asking that he not be allowed to speak, another letter to him with their complaint, and at least one opted to boycott his speech. Their complaint? al-Maliki condemned Israel's aggression against Lebanon, which is nearing a deathtoll of 400 overwhelmingly non-combatant Lebanese people. The Senators mentioned oppose al-Maliki's condemnation of Israel's actions, and demanded he criticize Hizbullah too. Why might he not criticize Hizbullah? On principle, because he might support the legitimate resistance of Hizbullah against Israeli aggression. On realpolitik, because he 'governs' a majority shiite country that is in the middle of near civil war amid the imperial occupation of it, and because his main neighbors are Syria and Iran, Hizbullah's main allies and external financiers.
