Dear World

Dear World,

CHANGE DAMMIT CHANGE! I’m addressing you all, because this millennium hasn’t been very good so far. In the last 3 years, we’ve been to war for oil, we’ve fought over who has and doesn’t have WMDs, we’ve denied citizenship to the people of our country…….and that’s just within the country. Outside our little borders, pandemonium is flooding the streets. I mean, COME ON. In the 1900s we went 15 years without a major genocide… in the 2000s… only 3. The genocide in Dafour has been going on for THREE YEARS. But World, did you know until recently? Did you know that these people are being senselessly murdered, and forgotten just like the Armenians, the Rwandans, the Bah-ai in Iran, the Kulaks in Ukraine…..What ever happened to “all we are saying is give peace a chance”? At this stage, it’s almost pointless to try and make sense of it all, but what’s not pointless is to change. Obviously, we as human beings are doing something wrong. World, I ask you to please stop and think about what’s going on, and why we [humans] are failing so miserably at being “humanitarian”. I don’t mean to ruin your good time, but can you really go on turning away? Can you go on forgetting, or not caring? Something has to be done. And someone has to initiate that something. It might be anyone of us; it could be you or me or any person you’ve ever met by chance, and it doesn’t matter as long as someone does.

So World, I ask of you to take this message, and carry it on until everyone has heard, and until everyone will remember.

World, I am telling you now that if change does not occur, we will be thrown into a pit of merciless soul-consuming hatred [war].

And one last thing, World: If you or I never speak on what is going on, who will? Can we trust the World to not turn away from all the suffering that fills it.

The World can be a beautiful place, but as of now, it’s probably the worst place in the universe to live……… until you and I and everyone we know steps forward to revolutionize.

Peace, love, and Hare Krishna,
Dahni
