OUL presents the film that won the Silver Hugo Award at the 2004 Chicago International Film Festival. From the beginning until the end "Battleground" gives an intense and emotional look at the war in Iraq that reveals a fundamental disconnect between Iraqi citizens and their "American Liberators." This film was shot over a 3 week period in late 2003 by Guerrilla News Network director Stephen Marshall. By interviewing numerous Iraqi civilians and US military personnel the film provides the viewer with a honest perspective that has been virtually non-existent in the mainstream American media's coverage of the war.
