Bogus charges of election fraud, and intimidation of defense witnesses by police, are being used to silence opposition in one of the poorest communities in the Midwest. Rev. Pinkney is being villified for drumming up effective opposition to the $500 million Harbor Shores gentrification project that will displace poor, mostly black Benton Harbor residents.
