Delphi is an auto parts supplier for GM and is threatening declaring bankruptcy and consequently gutting salaries and benefits for UAW members it employs. The UAW International (surprise, surprise!) seems to be rolling over and playing
dead. In this show, Gregg Shotwell explains the basics of the problems with Delphi and then discusses the strategy of in-plant work-to-rule in the process of preparing for a strike. Brother Shotwell is one of the most articulate labor
speakers in the country today, and is a leading UAW rank-and-file militant. He speaks at a public meeting in Chicago and at a closed meeting in Milwaukee for UAW Delphi workers. The last segment of the show is coverage of the recent UAW rank-and-file protest at the Detroit auto show.
