Once again, history has repeated itself. The U.S. military attacked a third world country.

The CIA claims that Al-Qaeda operative Ayman Al-Zawahiri was in the village of Damadola, Pakistan and an airstrike was carried out that killed at least 18 people including 5 children. The government of Pakistan is angry that such an attack was made. It was done without their permission. On top of this, the people of Pakistan are recovering from a massive earthquake that occurred last fall.

To my understanding if the U.S. military attacks another sovereign country besides Iraq or Afghanistan the progressive organizations in Chicago will hold a protest within a few days. With that in mind I know this doesnt compare to the 2003 invasion of Iraq.

What the Bush administration is trying to show the world and specifically Iran is that they are the ones in charge and whoever defies their authority will be crushed violently. If we don't lift a finger about what just happened in Pakistan the U.S. may go ahead with an attack on Iran and we all know what that means.
