PROTEST TODAY FOR STAN TOOKIE WILLIAMS

As of this morning, we still do not have word of whether Schwarzenegger will or will not grant clemency to Stan Tookie Williams. The California Supreme Court rejected the last appeal filed. Please plan on attending this important protest at 4:30 pm, TODAY, at Federal Plaza, Dearborn and Monroe.

All out for Tookie! Protest Monday, Dec. 12

SAVE THE PEACEMAKER! STOP THE EXECUTION OF STAN TOOKIE WILLIAMS!
PROTEST ON MONDAY, DECEMBER 12
4:30 PM, FEDERAL PLAZA
(DEARBORN AND MONROE)

Despite a complete lack of physical evidence against him, despite the all-white jury that convicted him, despite a racist prosecutor who called him a "Bengal tiger" in the zoo, and despite the testimony of jailhouse snitches used against him, California Arnold Schwarzenneger still cannot make up his mind whether Stan "Tookie" Williams deserves clemency.

Even though Stan has reached countless children with his message of peace, writing nine children's books warning kids about the dangers of gang violence; even though he has saved hundreds of lives with his Tookie Protocol for Peace that has resulted in truces between rival gangs, the Governator is still hesitating to grant him clemency.

The Governator says he bears a "heavy responsibility" in making this decision.  He is right.  If Tookie is executed, his blood will be on Arnold's hands.  Let's go all out to demand that the Governator not kill a peacemaker.
